Valley View Men’s Association

 

Welcome to another year of the Valley View Men’s Association! We hope to continue to make the Valley View Men’s Association the best around. The main goal for the Men’s Association is to provide a place for competition, enjoyment and improvement.

            The details:

1)      Dues: Dues will be $20. This fee is returned in added money to the tournaments each month. You can bring the sign up sheet and pay your dues anytime in the Pro Shop. You will need to pay your dues before participating in Men’s Associations events. We encourage everyone to pay your dues before the start of the season.

2)      Handicaps: All Members will be required to have an UGA Handicap.  All Mens Association Events will use the UGA Handicaps.  The Men’s Association Handicaps will be updated each week. A Handicap Committee will be put in place and will be reviewing Handicaps.  Handicaps may be “frozen” or “restricted” if necessary.

3)      Twilights Rounds: Will be held on Tuesdays, anytime during the day beginning March 15th and running each Tuesday thru October 25th (weather permitting). Players must play with another Men’s Association member to be eligible for prize money. Entry fees will be $9.00 with $8.50 going to the weekly prize pot and $0.50 going to the year long Player Performance competition. There will be optional $2.00 skins for each flight. The Player Performance Points will be used to determine the teams for the new Player Performance Tournament. Points will be awarded as follows: 1st place-10 pts, 2nd place-9 pts, 3rd place-8 pts, etc. Players changing flights during the year will take their points with them and continue to accumulate points in the new flight. Player Performance Points will be computed based on the flight were you played a majority of your rounds. Weekly results and Player Performance Point totals will be emailed out each week (normally on Thursday). We will be trying to alternate between the back and front nines. Play will be in four 4 flights: Flights will be divided equally. 

4)      Changes for 2012:

          i.      We will be deviding vlights equally.

          ii.      Twi-Light Cup Points: We will be selecting the 24 players for this event based on the top money winners in each flight.

       5)      Tournaments: We will be holding Men’s Association Tournaments on a Saturday each month. Please refer to the 2012 Tournament schedule for the dates and formats.

6)      Slow Play: We will continue our Slow Play Policy that we began in 2010. You will be warned before you are penalized. Everyone did a great job and our Pace Of Play was much better in 2010-2011.

7)      Committee: If you have any concerns or questions about the Men’s Association please let one of the members of the committee know. The committee is made up of Dustin Volk, Dave Loughton, and Greg Sandberg.
